Fair Fare

What Grab, Bolt, Gojek, or inDrive actually charges for that trip — sent to your LINE chat before the driver names a number.

What It Does

Know the fare. Before the driver names one.

Send Fair Fare your pickup + destination. It returns the real metered Grab / Bolt / Gojek / inDrive range for that route, at the current time, in five ASEAN cities. So when a driver tries to triple it for a tourist, you know.

I

Real-time fair range

Not last-month-average. The bot pulls live ranges from the major apps so you see what a local would pay right now — including surge.

II

Five cities, day one

Bangkok · Manila · Jakarta · Ho Chi Minh City · Kuala Lumpur. More cities every month as the database grows.

III

Print-ready phrase

After the fare, the bot gives you a short, polite local-language sentence to show or say to the driver: "Grab says this should be 180 baht." Most drivers settle politely.

A Fare Check

What Fair Fare sends when you ask

Real range from all four apps + a phrase to politely show the driver. No drama needed.

Tuesday · 9:42 PM · Bangkok

Sukhumvit Soi 11 → Chatuchak Weekend Market

Distance · 11.2 km · Light traffic

Grab Car ฿165-195 · Bolt ฿155-180 · InDrive ฿145-180 (driver-negotiated). Show the driver: เกรปบอกว่า 180 บาท ครับ — "Grab says 180 baht, sir." Be polite, smile. Most settle at 180-200.
Travel Group

Share the pack with the whole trip.

Add Fair Fare to your trip group. Anyone can check a fare, everyone sees it. No one in the group gets scammed on the airport run.

Fair Fare · trip group
BKK Airport → Asok Distance 31 km. Grab Car XL ฿420-490 · Bolt XL ฿390-450. Driver should also charge ~70 baht in airport tolls + expressway. Don't pay the "flat 1500 baht" sign-holders at arrivals — those are tourist traps.

saved this. group ride from arrivals?
Fair Fare
Group ride tip: book a single Grab XL from inside arrivals (the app picks you up at exit 4). Splits the ฿450 four ways. Better than two normal Grabs.

Questions

What you might want to know

Where does the fare data come from?
Aggregated from live app queries through our own driver-side accounts in each city. Updated continuously — not month-old averages.
Will the driver get mad?
Not usually. The phrase pack is polite and references Grab specifically. Drivers respect knowing the app rate. The escalation only happens with the few who were trying to scam — those tend to just shrug and accept the fair fare.
Which cities exactly?
Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur as of launch. Adding Hanoi, Cebu, Surabaya, Penang, Davao through Q3.
Is the pack a subscription?
No — one-time $1.99 for 30 days of unlimited checks. No auto-renewal.
Do I need a LINE account?
Yes. Fair Fare lives inside LINE. No separate app.
